Mission Statement:
The heart of the S.A.L.T. ministry is Serving, Assisting, Loving and Touching the NorthStar mission team families with the love of Christ. Our prayer is that these families would exchange ordinary living for an extraordinary life in Jesus Christ though his love.
Our Goal:
Our goal is to equip the families to rest in the assurance that they are covered in the love and care of Christ while their loved ones prepare for, serve on and return from their mission trip.
We Hope to Accomplish This By:
- Assuring family members who stay home they are surrounded by prayers.
- Provinding an evening of food, fellowship and prayers the night the team leaves.
- Having ministry team members available shoudl the families have any needs arise.
- Educating family members on where and why their loved ones are serving.
- Sharing truths we have learned serving on mission teams and staying home while our spouses served.
- Providing support and encouragement while the team is away by meeting for mid-week prayer time and keeping in touch by phone and email.
- Encouraging fellowship among the families.
Is there any encouragement from belonging to Christ? Any comfort from his love? Any fellowship together in the Spirit? Are your hearts tender and sympathetic? Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one heart and purpose.Don't be selfish; don't live to make a good impression on others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourself.Don't think only about your own affairs, but be interested in others, too, and what they are doing. Your attitude should be the same that Christ Jesus had.
